WHO’S IN IT?: BETRAYAL CAST
Tom Hiddleston plays Robert. Nominated for three Olivier Awards throughout his career, Hiddleston won the award for best newcomer in a play for his portrayal of Cassius in Othello at the Donmar Warehouse. More recently, he has taken to the stage as the eponymous roles Coriolanus at the Donmar Warehouse and Hamlet at Vanbrugh Theatre. As well as performing in the theatre, Hiddleston has rose to fame on the small screen in the BBC hit drama The Night Manager, as well as playing Loki in numerous Marvel films including Infinity War and Thor.
Zawe Ashton plays Emma, with previous theatrical credits including the title role in Salomé as well as television credits in Not Safe for Work and Fresh Meat.
Charlie Cox plays Jerry, best known for starring in the Marvel series Daredevil on Netflix.
WHAT’S THE STORY?
Emma and Jerry meet at a pub for the first time since their seven year extra-marital affair (and secret flat) two years ago. As the scenes unfold in reverse chronological order, Betrayal explores how their behaviour affected their respective marriages, as their relationships strained and friendships tested. Covering nine years in nine scenes, the story shows how the characters confess and end up betraying those around them as they admit their mistakes.
Questioning their love, lust and intimacy towards each other, Betrayal is full of twists and turns as the couples navigate their relationships.
The running time is 1 hour and 30 minutes, with no interval.
